2015 association dues confusion

I want to apologize for any confusion I caused by trying to collect 2015 dues early.

Usually I send out a dues reminder in March, and then I put the signs up at the entrances if/when the ground thaws.

This year I sent out a mailing for the 2015 dues in December. Besides being proactive, I also hoped to prod those delinquent on 2014 dues at the same time. Other than confusing some people who were *not* delinquent, the mailing generated only a mediocre response.

I thought erecting the reminder signs at the entrances would encourage more people to pay for 2015, but again, the response has been mediocre.

So now I am sending postcards to those who have not yet paid for 2015. If you receive a postcard but think you paid, please call me at 489-5367. Otherwise, make your check out to "Limberlost Acres Community Association" and deliver or mail it to me at 10207 Jamaica Drive or to Scott Naltner at 10221 Limberlost Trail. Dues are $30 per year.

Thank you for supporting the association. Again, I apologize for any confusion I have caused.

WARNING - Limberlost Burglary

We regret to inform you that one of our residents experienced a burglary recently. The burglar broke into the house during the night and made off with money and other items while the resident slept. Fortunately, no one was harmed.

While not all crime can be prevented, there are many things we can do as homeowners to help prevent burglaries. Additionally, please report any suspicious activity in the neighborhood to the police (Fort Wayne 427-1222 or Allen County 449-3000 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies).

It doesn't hurt to get to know your immediate neighbors and keep an eye out for each other, too.

Thanks.

Benefit concert Thursday March 15 at Willowbrook Day School

Willowbrook Day School is sponsoring a benefit concert Thursday March 15, from 6:00 to 8:30pm. Admission is free to everyone in the community. The concert will be held outside on the lawn. The students are hoping to raise enough money during the concert to purchase pallets of food and building supplies to fill a semi-Truck.

The students of Willowbrook have created a plan to aid in the relief efforts from the devastating tornados in Henryville, IN. They have partnered with the Henryville Community Church to deliver a semi-truck filled with the supplies they need. Henryville Community Church is currently feeding 1500 residents of Henryville daily and has pledged to continue to do so as long as needed. Henryville Community Church is also leading the rebuilding efforts of Henryville.

The students of Willowbrook want to fill the semi-truck with pallets of bulk foods and building materials by 3/19/12. You can donate now by clicking this link: https://www.wepay.com/x5eesyt/donations/75874

(The above information was supplied by Willowbrook Day School.)
